In a lean team environment, you will also support general office operations and help foster a proactive, collaborative workplace.

  • Operator communication & data collection: Maintain regular contact with the hotel operator/GM to obtain performance data, operational insights, and market intelligence.
  • Performance reviews: Lead biweekly operator meetings, identify budget variances, and drive owner-led improvement strategies.
  • Operational oversight: Track brand compliance, guest satisfaction, and efficiency indicators.
  • Financial reporting & budgeting: Prepare monthly/annual reports (P&L, variance analysis, performance summaries) and support business plan/budget development and monitoring.
  • Cash flow & distributions: Support ownership distribution decisions based on operating account balances and profit projections.
  • Capital planning (CAPEX/FFE): Develop and manage capital plans with the operator; monitor FFE spend and classification; assess owner-funded building improvements and long-term investment timing/funding.
  • Market/competitor research: Conduct market trend and benchmarking analysis to support strategy and decision-making.
  • Lease administration & tenant analysis: Track expirations, renewals, escalations; analyze rent proposals; summarize key lease terms in a matrix.
  • Tenant relations: Coordinate with the operator to resolve tenant issues and support retention.
  • Inspections & risk management: Support site inspections/audits, identify physical/operational risks early, and minimize exposure.
  • Records & documentation: Maintain accurate property, financial, invoice, and payment records; ensure deliverables are complete and reviewed.
  • Project coordination: Support renovations/capital projects to ensure on-time, on-budget execution aligned with owner requirements.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Work across internal/external teams to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strategic ownership meetings: Co-lead semiannual policy meetings with the operator to present strategy, share benchmarking, facilitate improvement initiatives, and strengthen owner-operator alignment.
  • Owner representation & VIP support: Maintain collaborative relationships and assist with internal/external VIP visits and stays as needed.
