Position Summary

The Financial Manager plays a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations by managing audit-related activities, budgeting, transfer pricing initiatives, and cash flow management. This position serves as a financial liaison between department managers/teams and the General Manager (GM), ensuring accurate reporting, sound financial control, and smooth cross-functional communication.

While the Accounting Manager will lead most audit processes, the Financial Manager will primarily handle audit-related communication and coordination that requires Japanese language skills, including interaction with the parent company.

This role may expand in the future to include payment processing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support external financial audits and respond to audit inquiries, particularly in areas requiring Japanese communication
  • Coordinate and support group consolidated financial statement audit processes, including communication with the parent company
  • Develop budget proposals and support budget planning activities
  • Prepare, analyze, and report various accounting and financial data to the General Manager (GM)
  • Support transfer pricing compliance and initiatives
  • Manage cash flow and oversee related purchasing / ordering controls
  • Collaborate with department managers and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and financial transparency
  • (Future scope) Potential involvement in payment processing and settlement operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of accounting, finance, and taxation
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities
  • Knowledge of trade / import-export business practices
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with managers, teams, and leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in audit support and/or consolidated financial reporting
  • Experience with transfer pricing-related processes
  • Business-level Japanese (required for parent company communication); English proficiency for internal reporting and coordination
  • Experience working in an international or multinational environment

Position in the Organization

This role sits between the General Manager and various department managers/teams, acting as a key financial partner across the organization. The Financial Manager will help bridge communication and reporting needs, particularly in finance-related matters involving the parent company.
