Sales Manager – Industrial Machinery & Equipment (U.S. Market)

Location: Houston, TX

Working Model: Onsite

An international leader in industrial machinery and equipment is seeking an experienced, driven, and relationship-focused Sales Manager to spearhead business development efforts across the U.S. market.

The successful candidate will identify and develop opportunities within the manufacturing and industrial sectors, manage the full sales cycle, and act as the primary liaison between customers, overseas suppliers, and internal teams. This role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with both clients and vendors. 

You will represent a diverse portfolio of industrial machinery and equipment used across specialty chemicals, plastics, oil & gas, steel, semiconductors, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
  • Conduct customer visits, perform needs assessments, and deliver proposal presentations.
  • Source equipment from overseas suppliers and prepare quotations based on technical requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, including price negotiation, order placement, document control, and delivery time management.
  • Collaborate with technical engineers, logistics staff, and service teams to ensure successful installations.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites, supplier factories, or company headquarters as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales in machinery, industrial equipment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and project coordination skills.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial product knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Business-level English required; Spanish language skills is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Familiarity with Japanese business culture is a strong advantage.
