Job Title: Senior Accountant

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role plays a key part in financial analysis, audit coordination, and supporting management decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and year-end financial close processes
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and support group reporting requirements
• Support budgeting and forecasting; perform variance analysis
• Manage tax compliance (e.g., Sales & Use Tax, 1099) with external advisors
• Research and apply accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, J-GAAP)
• Assist with audits and improve accounting processes
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–8+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS and J-GAAP preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred:

• CPA or progress toward CPA/CMA
• Experience working with international or overseas reporting

Language Requirement:

• Business-level Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) required
