Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Project Manager – Rolling Stock

Salary: $120-150k

Industry: Transportation Equipment / Railway Systems

Location: Hybrid (reporting to COO/CEO)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, including 5 years in rolling stock project management
  • Strong knowledge of the railway industry
  • Demonstrated skills in engineering analysis, component selection, problem-solving, and design execution
  • Self-starter with strong motivation, independence, and program management skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of industrial/product standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in global and cross-functional environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Jira (or similar tools)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a multidisciplinary team
  • Japanese and English bilingual proficiency required
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work flexible hours or shifts as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and risks
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to meet client expectations
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines and budgets are met
  • Identify and resolve issues and manage scope changes
  • Oversee project finances and maintain compliance with budget constraints
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates
  • Evaluate project outcomes to improve future project execution
