Japanese governmental organizations seek a bilingual Japanese Project Assistant for their Trade Insurance Dept.
Title: Research Assistant
Employment Type: Temp; renew the contract annually for up to 3 years
Hourly Rate: $24.5
Work Location: Midtown, Manhattan *3 days office
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor, Manage and coordinate internal department schedules.
Provide general administrative support, including phone and visitor handling, and coordination of appointments for external meetings.
Prepare internal accounting and expense-related documents, such as travel expense reports.
As needed, assist with the collection, organization, and dissemination of information related to political and economic developments across the Americas (North, Central, and South America).
Requirements:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese, with the ability to read, translate, and communicate effectively via phone and email in both languages.
Ability to handle schedule management and general administrative tasks proactively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate actively with supervisors and colleagues on task execution and workflow.
A team-oriented and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to support others while maintaining awareness of overall departmental priorities.
