Japanese governmental organizations seek a bilingual Japanese Project Assistant for their Trade Insurance Dept.
Title: Research Assistant
Employment Type: Temp; renew the contract annually for up to 3 years
Hourly Rate: $24.5
Work Location: Midtown, Manhattan *3 days office
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, Manage and coordinate internal department schedules.
- Provide general administrative support, including phone and visitor handling, and coordination of appointments for external meetings.
- Prepare internal accounting and expense-related documents, such as travel expense reports.
- As needed, assist with the collection, organization, and dissemination of information related to political and economic developments across the Americas (North, Central, and South America).
Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese, with the ability to read, translate, and communicate effectively via phone and email in both languages.
- Ability to handle schedule management and general administrative tasks proactively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate actively with supervisors and colleagues on task execution and workflow.
- A team-oriented and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to support others while maintaining awareness of overall departmental priorities.
