Japanese Speaking Customer Service Representative – Call Centre

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Queen St W × Dufferin St)

Job Type: 1 year Temp (with possibility of extension)

Compensation: $22/hour

Hours: 24-30 hours/week (4-5 days in the office, Monday to Sunday)

Shift Examples:

9:00am to 4:00pm or 1:00pm to 8:00pm with one hour unpaid break (Daylight Saving Time)*

8:00am to 3:00pm or 12:00pm to 7:00pm with one hour unpaid break (EST)*

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Japanese-speaking Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team in Toronto.

You will act as the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries through the company’s main phone line and providing professional support.

This role is different from a typical high-volume call centre position. In addition to managing incoming calls, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including email communication and general administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Provide professional and high-quality customer service in Japanese.
  • Accurately enter and maintain customer information in internal systems.
  • Provide customers with information about product terms and conditions.
  • Support general administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confident, reliable, motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Team player with excellent cooperation skills.
