Position Overview

The Vice President – Manufacturing is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability. The VP will lead strategic initiatives to optimize production processes, align operations with business goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the manufacturing strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing, automation, and process optimization.
  • Lead and mentor plant managers and production teams to achieve performance targets.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, R&D, and sales to support business growth.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Build strong vendor and partner relationships to support operations.
  • Report on KPIs, operational challenges, and progress to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and drive financial performance.
