Japanese governmental organizations seek a bilingual Japanese Project Assistant for their Trade Insurance Dept.
Title: Research Assistant
Employment Type: Temp; renew the contract annually for up to 3 years
Hourly Rate: $24.5
Work Location: Midtown, Manhattan *3 days office
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor, collect, and consolidate information on political and economic developments across the Americas (North, Central, and South America), and prepare summaries and internal communications.
Support the preparation of various data materials and assist with promotional activities related to trade insurance programs and their utilization.
Provide coordination and communication support with external vendors and service providers.
Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, including internal schedule coordination, phone and visitor handling, appointment setting, and basic accounting or expense-related procedures.
Requirements:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese, with the ability to read, translate, and communicate effectively via phone and email in both languages.
Strong ability to organize collected information and produce clear, concise written reports in Japanese.
Proficiency in basic business tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to proactively collaborate with supervisors and team members regarding tasks and workflow.
A flexible and proactive team-oriented mindset, with the ability to support colleagues and respond to departmental needs as circumstances change.
