Position Summary
This role supports sales activities through customer account management, coordination with internal and external partners, and identifying opportunities for business growth. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to assist with launches, address customer needs, and ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing reports, tracking key metrics, and supporting strong customer relationships.
Daily conversational Japanese proficiency is required due to frequent communication with Japan.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support sales activities and projects from the initial opportunity stage through production launch.
- Assist with daily account management and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and help identify new business opportunities.
- Communicate customer needs to internal teams and ensure deliverables are met.
- Support issue resolution, program kickoffs, and milestone tracking.
- Review inventory levels and work with teams to address shortages or excess.
- Prepare updates, reports, and documentation related to account status and KPIs.
- Assist with production scheduling and maintain awareness of customer priorities.
- Participate in risk assessments and identify potential launch challenges.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in sales, program management, or a related automotive/manufacturing role.
- Candidates with less experience will be considered if core requirements are met.
- Daily conversational Japanese proficiency required (speaking, reading, writing).
Required Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of design/quality terminology and ability to communicate with Purchasing, Quality, and Design contacts.
- Ability to use project management tools, ERP systems, customer portals, and MS Office.
- Strong coordination, follow-through, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Basic negotiation skills with willingness to grow.

Additional Information
Travel:
Approximately 20–30% travel to customers, suppliers, or manufacturing locations; additional travel may be required for urgent needs.
