Position: Sales Manager
Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance within an assigned district. This role leads and motivates a sales team, manages distributor relationships, grows existing accounts, and develops new business. The position requires strong strategic planning, hands-on selling, and active market engagement to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead district sales activities to achieve annual and quarterly revenue, profit, and growth targets
- Develop and execute district sales strategies aligned with national objectives
- Prospect and acquire new customers through cold calling, networking, and market outreach
- Manage and expand distributor and customer relationships
- Forecast sales, prepare budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations to distributors and key decision-makers
- Identify new product opportunities by analyzing customer needs, market trends, and competitors
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events; evaluate trade promotion effectiveness
- Maintain regular communication with management on sales activity, pipeline status, and goal progress
- Monitor market conditions including supply/demand, pricing, and competitive activity
- Resolve customer issues and recommend product, service, or policy improvements
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience with a proven track record (machine tools or cutting tools preferred)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

- Experience developing and executing district-level sales strategies

Work Environment & Travel
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional evenings or weekends *Travel frequency is negotiable depends on experience
- Capable of working across multiple time zones to support customer needs
- Comfortable operating standard office and mobile business tools
