A Japanese food manufacturing company is seeking a Senior / Sales Account Manager.

Location : Remote in East Coast(NY or NJ)

Overall travel frequency: 30–70%, including domestic and international travel

Salary Range – $80-120K (DOE)+Incentive

Overview

A Japanese food manufacturing company is seeking a Senior / Sales Account Manager to support and accelerate its European business expansion.

This role combines new business development, existing account management, and cross-border project coordination, working closely with global teams across Japan, the U.S., Thailand, and Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive European market growth (new business + acquisition)
  • Manage/grow U.S. East Coast accounts; support EU subsidiaries
  • Execute sales strategy, presentations, and market/competitor research

Account Management & Customer Support

  • Own daily account operations (POs, delivery/shipping, billing)
  • Handle complaints/quality issues and urgent/emergency requests
  • Provide product/technical support to maximize customer value

Project, Events & Travel

  • Lead OEM/private-label projects with global cross-functional teams
  • Support trade shows, customer/factory visits, and travel as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–5+ years of experience in food manufacturing or related fields
  • Experience in B2B sales and/or account management
  • Experience with new market development
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • (Ability to manage complex OEM and multi-country logistics projects)
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with Japanese food wholesalers
  • Experience with OEM / private-label business
  • Business level Japanese is preferred
  • Experience working with global teams or cross-border operations
