Our client is a rapidly growing Japanese restaurant group specializing in authentic sushi and high-quality Japanese cuisine. They are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager who is bilingual in Japanese and English to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support business growth.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to company standards.
Manage and train staff (servers, kitchen staff, sushi chefs), ensuring high levels of performance and teamwork.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
Collaborate with executive management on budget planning, cost control, and business strategies.
Prepare operational and financial reports as required.
Support marketing initiatives and community engagement activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager, preferably in a Japanese or Asian dining environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills in both Japanese and English (verbal and written).
Knowledge of sushi/Japanese cuisine and restaurant operations.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
