We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales growth across assigned channels on the East Coast. This role is responsible for achieving sales and profit goals by working closely with brokers and distributors, building strong customer relationships, and implementing effective sales promotions. The ideal candidate will combine strategic planning ability with hands-on execution and leadership of field sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management
Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with corporate goals.
Prepare annual budgets and conduct quarterly/monthly sales reviews.
Provide price quotes, proposals, and credit terms to current and prospective customers.
Supervise and evaluate field sales representatives; review and maintain timecards for non-exempt employees.
Identify and pursue potential customers through calls, emails, visits, and networking.
Build and maintain relationships with retailers; send product samples and follow up.
Manage brokers and distributors to maximize product sales in U.S. markets.
Plan and implement sales promotions at the national, regional, and retail-chain level.
Establish and monitor sales territories, quotas, and performance goals.
Deliver presentations for brokers, distributors, and retailers.
Ensure accurate order receipt, confirmation, and internal coordination for delivery.
Track and analyze sales data, trends, and profitability.
Troubleshoot retailer issues and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.
Negotiate and implement private brand products as needed.
Evaluate broker performance and manage contract terms.
Other Responsibilities
Seek continuous improvement in sales processes and efficiency.
Support internal communication and coordination with management and staff.
Comply with company policies, ethical standards, and safety guidelines.
Host and support visiting guests from headquarters or affiliated companies.
Attend internal meetings at the Torrance, CA office when required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Minimum of 6 months of related sales experience (more preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Japanese.
Supervisory Experience
Direct oversight of field sales representatives.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings effectively.
Travel Requirements
Local travel and domestic overnight travel required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain accurate driving records.
