The Project Superintendent / Field Engineer will play a key role in supporting ongoing industrial construction projects, ensuring timely, safe, and high-quality completion. This position will be based in the Charlotte office and will require travel to other project sites (up to 50%).

Essential Functions
Preconstruction Services
Participate in reviewing drawings and specifications.
Estimate cost and manhours required to complete tasks and meet project expectations within budget and schedule.
Contribute to preconstruction planning related to budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Project Start-Up and Scheduling
Review and understand project specifications and contract conditions.
Confirm that all materials and subcontractor work are scheduled accurately and comply with contract documents and quality standards.
Ensure all materials are tested per specifications and that test results are properly recorded.
Conduct site visits and inspections of subcontractors and vendors to verify quality standards.
Project Administration, Operations, and Close-Out
Coordinate and monitor subcontractor progress and performance.
Communicate regularly with management, subcontractors, and related parties regarding schedules, construction methods, policies, permits, safety, and quality standards.
Attend daily or weekly project progress meetings and plan upcoming work accordingly.
Manage project closeout, ensuring financial obligations are met, resources are demobilized, and the project is successfully transitioned to the customer.
Customer Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Represent company values and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or construction project environment.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, terminology, and project documentation.
Demonstrated organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Ability to estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
Experience managing teams, tools, and resources to achieve project goals.
Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
Commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general PC skills.
Ability to prepare or review daily logs, monthly reports, and project progress documentation.
Experience working in a multinational environment (preferred).
Working Environment
This is an in-office position reporting to the Charlotte, NC office.
Must comply with company safety policies and wear appropriate PPE when on-site.
May be required to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays based on project schedules.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% to various project sites.
