About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial New Business Development Associate to join

our team. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying and developing new business opportunities,

driving growth, and supporting strategic initiatives across various markets. As a full-time team member,

you will have the opportunity to influence key decisions and contribute significantly to the expansion of

our business.

Responsibilities:

• Market Research & Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth research on market trends,

customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Identify new business opportunities and growth

areas in domestic and international markets.

• Strategic Planning & Business Case Development: Develop business plans and financial

models to support the launch of new initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to create go-to-market

strategies and validate business models.

• Partnership & Client Relationship Management: Help identify and build relationships with key

partners, potential clients, and stakeholders. Manage business development pipelines and track

progress through CRM tools.

• Product Development Support: Work closely with product, marketing and technology teams

to support the development of new products or services. Ensure alignment with market needs

and business objectives.

• Project Management: Take ownership of cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery,

meeting objectives, and staying within budget. Communicate progress and outcomes to

stakeholders.

• Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect and analyze data on business performance, market

conditions, and customer behavior. Use insights to recommend and implement improvements to

current strategies and business models.

• Presentation & Reporting: Prepare presentations, reports, and pitch decks for internal and

external audiences, including senior leadership, investors, and potential partners.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a

related field. 1-3 years of experience in business development, strategy, consulting, or a similar

role is preferred.

• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to perform market analysis, financial modeling,

and develop strategic insights based on data.

• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in

preparing and delivering presentations to various stakeholders, including senior management.

• Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving, able to

work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Tech Savviness: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and presentation tools (e.g.,

PowerPoint, Google Slides). Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics tools

(e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.

• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work cross-functionally with teams in marketing, product, sales,

and operations in Japanese. A team player who can build strong relationships across

departments.

• Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to

detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Startups or High-Growth Environments: Prior experience working in a startup

or fast-growing company is desirable.

• Industry Experience: Knowledge of or experience in industries such as technology,

cybersecurity, consumer goods, or SaaS is a plus.

• Global Business Experience: Previous experience working on international projects or

managing global business initiatives is preferred.

• Advanced Degrees: MBA or relevant advanced degrees are a plus, but not required.
