Job Description

Export Document Coordinator – Data Entry / Document Preparation

  • Must work onsite at the office near the airport daily
  • Proficiency in English and one Asian language required (e.g., Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, etc.)

Role/Service Type: Temp to Hire

Hourly Rate: $19.00 – $21.00 (depending on experience)

Candidates with Freight Forwarding experience: rate and status are negotiable

Location: Houston, TX 77060

Work Style: 100% on-site (office)

Position

Export Document Coordinator – Data Entry / Document Preparation

Responsible for preparing export documents for ocean shipments.

Tasks include verifying details, making corrections based on shipper/consignee requests, and distributing documents to relevant parties.

Communication with steamship lines, customers, and consignees is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ocean export documents with accuracy (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
  • Respond to export shipment inquiries and troubleshoot issues
  • Verify ocean freight details, container numbers, seals, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations and port rules
  • Issue invoices and maintain accurate records
