This Air Export Agent position supports a large, established global logistics operation serving customers across multiple regions and industries. The role plays a critical part in daily export activity by coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and supporting key customer accounts. You’ll collaborate with teams across borders and time zones, helping ensure reliable, compliant service within a complex international supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process air export shipments, including documentation, labeling, and cargo distribution (approx. 75% of role)
Provide general business and operational support as assigned (approx. 25%)
Communicate effectively with customers, overseas agents, subcontractors, and internal teams
Plan and arrange carriers for assigned shipments
Generate pickup orders, shipping labels, freight bills, and invoices
Ensure all shipments comply with internal procedures and external regulations
Perform filing and data entry using AS/400
Manage billing, invoicing, and follow-up on outstanding receivables within credit terms
Own and service key customer accounts with a focus on best practices and retention
Meet KPI targets aligned with company and branch initiatives
Maintain professional, respectful working relationships across all stakeholders
Collaborate closely with warehouse staff and other departments
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience prefered
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; experience with AS/400 and Lotus Notes preferred
Basic knowledge of export operations and international commerce (Incoterms, payment methods, customs regulations) a plus
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex processes
Team-oriented with a professional, service-minded approach
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed
