We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee construction quality activities for a large-scale industrial project in Phoenix, Arizona. This position is responsible for ensuring that field installations, materials, and construction processes meet established quality standards, engineering specifications, and project requirements. Working closely with site management, contractors, and third-party inspectors, the supervisor will coordinate inspections, monitor compliance, and help resolve quality-related challenges throughout construction. The ideal candidate brings hands-on construction quality control experience, strong knowledge of inspection procedures, and the ability to lead quality initiatives in a dynamic project environment. Experience with piping installations, including plastic piping systems, is a plus.

What You'll Be Doing

Construction Quality Control & Inspection Management

  • Oversee daily quality control activities at assigned construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project quality standards.
  • Plan and coordinate third-party inspections, including inspection scheduling, document preparation, site access, and follow-up activities.
  • Review piping drawings, P&IDs, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and field installation conditions to verify construction quality.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, testing laboratories, and inspection personnel to ensure work is ready for required inspections.
  • Monitor installation activities, identify quality deficiencies, and support timely resolution of non-conforming work.
  • Assist with quality verification for equipment deliveries, prefabricated assemblies, and skid-mounted systems.
  • Provide direction and oversight to QC inspectors and other quality-related personnel as assigned.

Quality Compliance & Corrective Action Management

  • Implement and maintain project quality control procedures, inspection programs, and documentation practices.
  • Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and inspection findings.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with construction teams and verify that identified deficiencies have been appropriately addressed.
  • Support compliance with applicable quality management systems, industry codes, and project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain inspection records, testing reports, quality checklists, and construction turnover documentation.
  • Participate in quality reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring issues and improve project execution.

Project Coordination & Quality Reporting

  • Collaborate with site management to review construction schedules, inspection priorities, and upcoming project milestones.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and engineering teams to communicate quality expectations and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify quality-related risks that could affect project schedules or costs.
  • Prepare weekly quality reports, inspection summaries, and corrective action updates for project management.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality requirements are incorporated into field activities.
  • Support site safety, housekeeping, and compliance initiatives in coordination with the construction management team.
  • Assist with additional project quality management activities and special assignments as needed.

  • Experience coordinating third-party inspections, subcontractor quality activities, and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical specifications, inspection and test plans, and turnover documentation.
