Business Analyst – Capital Markets / Market Systems
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale Capital Markets transformation project at a commercial bank, including the replacement of Rates and FX trading platforms.
The role will focus on business and system impact assessments, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery across front-office, middle-office, and downstream applications. You will work closely with business and technology teams in both Japan and the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct business and system impact assessments across multiple applications and interfaces
Gather and document business and system requirements
Analyze impacts related to Rates and FX trading platforms
Coordinate with business, technology, and project stakeholders
Support project planning, testing, implementation, and issue resolution
Work with teams across Japan Head Office, U.S. Branch, and Capital Markets functions
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience in banking technology or Capital Markets projects
Strong experience in Business Analysis and System Analysis
Strong understanding of Capital Markets products, including Rates and/or FX
Experience conducting impact assessments across multiple systems
Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Business-level Japanese and English are required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Treasury, Trading, Risk, Market Data, DWH, or Regulatory Reporting systems
Experience in trading platform replacement or large-scale transformation projects
Knowledge of front-office, middle-office, and back-office data flows
Experience working with Japanese financial institutions
Experience supporting cross-border projects between Japan and the U.S.
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
