Sales Assistant

Location: Addison, IL

Compensation: $60,000/year DOE

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; some schedule flexibility available

Employment Type: Full-Time, On-site, Non-Exempt

An established international logistics company providing transportation and supply chain services to corporate customers. The organization supports domestic and global business operations through coordinated sales, logistics, and customer service functions.

Position Summary

The Sales Assistant supports corporate and regional sales teams with sales administration, reporting, customer research, CRM management, quotation preparation, and coordination with logistics operations. The role also supports communication with the company's overseas headquarters and prepares business documents and presentations in both Japanese and English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and sales support to corporate and regional sales teams.
  • Research prospective customers and organize information for sales meetings.
  • Record customer interactions, meeting notes, and sales activities in CRM.
  • Prepare logistics, tariff, trade, and global market research materials.
  • Create quotations and coordinate with operations teams on new shipment arrangements.
  • Extract, compile, and distribute sales reports from CRM data.
  • Prepare monthly P&L and branch performance summaries.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and other materials for internal and external meetings.
  • Coordinate business travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and itineraries.
  • Maintain sales tracking sheets and consolidate team sales activity.
  • Prepare Japanese-language documents and support communication with overseas headquarters.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Expert-level Japanese and professional English proficiency.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and consistently.

Preferred:

  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Previous sales support, administrative, or corporate support experience.
  • Logistics industry experience is helpful but not required.

Other Details

  • No business travel required.
  • Long-term employment is expected.
  • Position may have future opportunities to support other branch sales functions.
  • Some flexibility in start/end times may be considered.
