Job Summary
A growing boutique law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking a Japanese-English Bilingual Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support its attorneys and clients.
The ideal candidate is fluent in both Japanese and English and has experience working in a legal or professional office environment. This position will support attorneys handling Personal Injury, Business Law, Civil Litigation, and Trust & Estate matters, while also assisting with general administrative and client-related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys
- Translate legal and business documents between Japanese and English
- Draft business correspondence in both English and Japanese
- Conduct initial intake with prospective clients
- Communicate with clients and coordinate calls and meetings
- Assist with case-related documentation and file management
- Support marketing and networking activities
- Provide administrative support to partners and attorneys
- Assist with other projects and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a small, team-oriented environment
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a related legal support role
- Understanding of Japanese business culture and legal concepts
- Experience with Lexis and/or MyCase
- Experience with legal translation
- Client-facing or customer service experience
