Planning Analyst

Job Summary / Basic Function

The Planning Analyst supports the Planning Department by compiling, analyzing, and reporting business data, including performance results, forecasts, and market trends. This role contributes to the development of strategic and tactical plans aligned with company objectives and is responsible for preparing business reports, presentation materials, and meeting documentation.


Key Accountabilities

40% Preparation of Business Reports
• Prepare reports, databases, forecasts, and summaries
• Develop detailed Production, Sales, and Inventory (PSI) and budget reports
• Present reports to management prior to submission
20% Business Analysis
• Compile data on sales, inventory, backlog, and performance indicators
• Analyze results versus budget plans
• Support sales forecasting and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) pipeline analysis
15% Presentation Materials
• Develop data-driven presentations and charts for management meetings
10% Project Management Support
• Compile and verify sales project reports
• Analyze trends and support project discussions
• Maintain data lists, tables, and logs
5% Meeting Coordination
• Coordinate meetings and prepare materials
10% Administrative Support
• Provide clerical support (e.g., scheduling, documentation, executive support)


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis or planning
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Ability to present information clearly to management and cross-functional teams
