Title IT Administrator
Location:Monterey Park, CA
Salary: $71,000 – $81,000 + Benefits
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
A company in Monterey Park is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Administrator to support and strengthen its cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT operations. This role will be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, supporting endpoint management, maintaining compliance standards, and assisting with IT projects including ERP implementation.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on cybersecurity experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
Cybersecurity & Incident Response
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM platforms, Microsoft security tools, and other monitoring systems
- Investigate suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in real time
- Analyze and validate security threats while assessing business impact
- Escalate high-risk or complex incidents when necessary
- Maintain documentation related to incidents, investigations, and remediation activities
- Support audit preparation through reporting and evidence collection
Security Systems & Endpoint Management
- Maintain and support security tools including Microsoft Defender, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management systems
- Manage endpoint security across company devices
- Support Microsoft Intune and other MDM/MAM platforms
- Ensure compliance with security standards including patching, encryption, and access controls
- Coordinate software updates and vulnerability remediation efforts
IT Operations & Compliance
- Support implementation of IT policies, procedures, disaster recovery planning, and security standards
- Assist with compliance requirements including J-SOX
- Provide technical support and security guidance to internal departments
- Support ERP implementation projects using operational and technical expertise
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and service providers regarding IT services and contracts
- Attend company events or functions outside normal business hours as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of cybersecurity or IT security experience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance tools
- Experience with endpoint/device management tools such as Microsoft Intune or other MDM/MAM platforms
- Strong understanding of patch management, endpoint security, and vulnerability remediation
- Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and security policy enforcement
- Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Business-level English communication skills
Preferred
- 3–5 years of cybersecurity or IT administration experience
- Business-level Japanese language ability
- Experience supporting ERP implementation projects
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
