Interpreter and Translator -Japanese bilingual

Job Title: Interpreter/Translator

Duration: 5/22-9/18/2026 (End date is tentative depend on the progression of the project)

Work status: Temp

Work hours: M-F 7am – 4pm (1 hour lunch) *OT only when client approves

Pay rate: $28-$33/hour (DOE)

Reimbursement: hotel, mileage for one round trip between home and the project site at the beginning and end of project for out of state candidate, (If the candidate is capable of daily commute, the mileage for the daily commute will be reimbursed), safety gears when needed

Main responsibilities:

• Provide simultaneous/consecutive interpretation of technical documents of high complexity from Japanese to English and English to Japanese in a professional manner.
• Ensure the meaning, feeling, intent of the original and technical words are accurately transmitted without distortion, omissions or additions.
• Line-side verbal interpretation is required.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have interpretation and translation experience in machining or general manufacturing industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both in Japanese and English)
• Ability to work in a team environment.
