Senior Account Manager – International Chemical Company

An international chemical company is looking for a Sr. Account Manager to join our collaborative and growing small team in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a globally respected organization and play a key role in expanding our presence in the U.S. market.

We're looking for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys working with people, spotting new opportunities, and helping customers succeed. In this role, you’ll build and nurture client relationships, grow our customer base, and work closely with partners to bring innovative chemical solutions to the market.

This position is ideal for a sales professional with strong experience in B2B chemical sales, particularly within cosmetic ingredients and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their business needs
  • Plan and develop promotional initiatives to drive sales growth
  • Create pricing strategies and new product development plans
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver effective product presentations to customers
  • Negotiate order details, including volume, pricing, and delivery timelines
  • Research and analyze potential clients and market data
  • Coordinate client meetings and include sales and technical service representatives from supplier partners
  • Organize and represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  • Stay current with industry trends by attending events, reading publications, and maintaining a professional network
  • Report regularly to management on sales activity, goals, and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • A minimum of four years of chemical sales experience within the cosmetics industry is required.
  • Team leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
