OEM Sales Representative

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Employment Type: Exempt

Language: English and Japanese (both business and above level)

We are seeking an experienced OEM Sales Representative to lead sales and marketing initiatives within the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) sector. This role is responsible for managing key customer accounts, driving revenue growth, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring alignment between customer requirements and internal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts and budgets
  • Deliver customer presentations and provide cost-based quotations
  • Manage sales documentation including purchase orders, invoicing, and inventory tracking
  • Monitor market trends, exchange rates, and competitive activity to inform pricing strategy
  • Coordinate with global affiliates and suppliers to ensure on-time production and delivery
  • Support contract review and negotiations
  • Identify opportunities for local sourcing and manufacturing optimization
  • Collaborate with engineering on product modifications and technical inquiries
  • Support quality assurance initiatives including PPAP documentation and audit preparation
  • Assist in resolving product quality concerns and facilitating defect investigations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within automotive, powersports, or OEM manufacturing environments
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Understanding of OEM sales cycles, product development timelines, and supply chain coordination
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as PPAP, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); ERP/CRM experience preferred
  • Experience working with international suppliers or customers is a plus
  • Must be English and Japanese bilingual
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (Approximately once in 2-3 months)
