Construction Supervisor

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually (DOE)

Position Summary

The Construction Supervisor supports on-site construction of industrial water treatment systems. This role assists the Site Manager in coordinating contractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with design requirements and company standards.

This position is based on-site at the project office, five days per week, and requires regular travel to project locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day construction supervision for water treatment system projects.
  • Coordinate site facilities, temporary installations, and safety measures in compliance with regulations and client requirements.
  • Review construction drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and schedules to track progress and identify issues.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of SKID units, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor site conditions versus project schedule and assist with recovery plans when delays occur.
  • Verify installations meet design and material specifications; report discrepancies.
  • Collect and maintain construction documentation and contractor records.
  • Participate in construction meetings with clients, contractors, and partners.
  • Prepare weekly progress and issue reports.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites.
  • Travel approximately 25% to project sites outside Arizona.

Qualifications

Required

  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Minimum 5 years of on-site construction supervision experience.
  • Experience with industrial, water treatment, or large-scale piping projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with MS Project.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, or similar drawing software (review and coordination only).
  • EIT certification.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors on complex industrial sites.

Safety & Certifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour (Construction) and OSHA 510 required or willingness to obtain.
  • EHS certifications (ASP or CSP) preferred.
  • Additional safety training (HAZWOPER, NFPA 70E) a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily on active construction sites with some office work.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, equipment, and industrial environments.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
