A Japanese-affiliated global company is seeking a Senior Manager, General Affairs & Corporate Initiatives to support corporate initiatives, cross-functional projects, and coordination between the U.S. organization and headquarters in Japan.
This role works closely with senior management and serves as an important liaison between the U.S. organization, headquarters in Japan, and affiliated companies.
We are looking for a proactive and versatile professional who can work across functions, communicate effectively with both U.S. management and Japan headquarters, and take ownership of a wide range of corporate projects from planning through execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional corporate initiatives and special projects
- Develop project plans, coordinate stakeholders, and support timely execution
- Support corporate communications, including company announcements, presentations, website, and social media
- Coordinate with headquarters in Japan, affiliated companies, and internal stakeholders
- Support executive visits, meetings, schedules, and briefing materials
- Support General Affairs activities, including office operations, facilities, vendors, company events, and workplace initiatives
- Assist with corporate planning, management reporting, governance, and other management-related projects
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and ways of working
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience in corporate administration, General Affairs, project management, corporate communications, corporate planning, or related areas
- Native-level Japanese and strong professional English communication skills
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Experience in a multinational, Japanese-affiliated, or cross-cultural environment preferred
