Position Overview

A growing retail and entertainment company specializing in collectible toy products is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop new retail partnerships and expand its physical presence across Texas.

This role will focus on identifying and securing new placement opportunities for collectible product machines, kiosks, pop-ups, and other retail formats within retailers, shopping centers, entertainment venues, and other high-traffic locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with retailers, shopping centers, entertainment venues, and other potential partners.
  • Prospect new partners through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Build relationships with retailers, property managers, mall operators, landlords, and other business partners.
  • Present partnership opportunities and negotiate business and placement terms.
  • Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through agreement and opening.
  • Identify opportunities to expand successful placements into additional locations.
  • Maintain an active pipeline and coordinate with internal teams on new openings.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Business Development, Sales, Retail Partnerships, Account Development, Leasing, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Experience in new business development and prospecting.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with retailers, shopping centers, entertainment venues, or multi-location businesses is preferred.
  • Retail industry knowledge or established relationships with retailers is a plus.
  • Interest in Japanese culture, entertainment, or consumer products is a plus.

Travel

Occasional travel within Texas is required.
