Software Engineer / IT Support

Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $50,000–$60,000/year

Hours: Full-time; standard business hours

Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Position Summary

This role supports the company's existing web-based systems and day-to-day IT needs. Responsibilities include maintaining data and internal applications, troubleshooting user issues, managing accounts and Microsoft 365 services, and assisting with basic web programming when needed.

This position is well suited for an early-career candidate with a strong foundation in computer systems, databases, or web technologies who is interested in developing across both software and IT support functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support existing web-based applications and internal systems.
  • Manage and maintain business data and databases.
  • Troubleshoot user, computer, login, and system issues.
  • Create and administer user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
  • Support Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and MFA.
  • Assist with basic frontend and backend web programming and system updates.
  • Document systems, procedures, and technical information to support knowledge transfer.
  • Provide general IT helpdesk support to employees.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, web technologies, or IT support.
  • Understanding of databases; Microsoft SQL Server knowledge strongly preferred.
  • General web programming skills using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, ASP/ASP.NET, VB, PHP, or similar.
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and systems.
  • Professional English communication skills.
  • Approximately 0–3 years of relevant IT, software, database, or technical support experience.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft 365 administration experience, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, or MFA.
  • Experience supporting web-based business applications.
  • Japanese language ability is a plus but not required.
