Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Professional Japanese language ability required. This position requires business-level Japanese and English communication to support customers, sales representatives, and Japanese food product-related operations.

Company Overview

An established Japanese food wholesale company is seeking a Sales Support / Customer Service Coordinator for its Hayward operation. The company supplies Japanese food products and beverages to restaurant and food-service customers throughout Northern California.

Position Summary

This position provides customer service, inside sales support, order and invoice processing, and general administrative assistance. Professional Japanese language ability is required to effectively support business operations, along with strong knowledge of Japanese food products and terminology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service and support in-house sales activities.
• Process customer orders and invoices and perform accurate data entry.
• Compile and maintain numerical, sales, and operational information.
• Support sales representatives with administrative and coordination tasks.
• Organize and improve office procedures to support efficient daily operations.
• Assist with warehouse-related operations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Manage multiple administrative and customer requests while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

Required:

• Business-level Japanese and English language ability.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese food products and related terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and commonly used office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Strong work ethic and ability to consistently follow established policies and procedures.
• Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to commute to Hayward, CA.

Preferred:

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Experience with inside sales, sales support, order processing, or administrative coordination.
• Experience in food wholesale, distribution, restaurant supply, or a related environment.
