Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety programs across multiple active construction sites in the Taylor, TX area. This position will lead and support a team of safety professionals and serve as a key safety representative with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
The ideal candidate has strong construction safety experience, leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site-specific safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and site safety planning
- Manage, mentor, and oversee safety staff across multiple project sites
- Conduct site safety inspections and audits and ensure timely corrective actions
- Monitor PPE, fall protection, equipment, and other safety controls
- Lead safety meetings with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams
- Conduct and oversee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training
- Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and root cause analysis
- Maintain OSHA logs, inspection reports, safety metrics, and compliance documentation
- Travel regularly between active construction sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of construction safety experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent
- CHST, CSP, ASP, or other recognized safety certification
- Experience managing safety teams across multiple construction projects
- Experience with large-scale industrial or manufacturing construction projects
