Japanese Bilingual Portfolio & Asset Management Manager / Senior Analyst
Location: New York or Texas (relocation assistance available)
Compensation: Competitive, up to $180K base depending on experience

We are partnering with a well-capitalized international real estate investment and development platform seeking a Portfolio & Asset Management Manager or Senior Analyst to support and oversee a growing U.S. real estate portfolio.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work across asset management, portfolio management, investment analysis, development underwriting, and strategic initiatives while serving as a key liaison between U.S. operations and Japan headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Asset Management
- Monitor performance of existing real estate investments
- Analyze operating results, cash flow, NOI, leasing performance, and business plan execution
- Support refinancing, loan management, capital calls, dispositions, and risk management initiatives
- Coordinate with joint venture partners, developers, property managers, asset managers, and lenders
- Identify key issues, risks, and recommended actions across the portfolio
Investment & Development
- Assist with evaluation of new multifamily, mixed-use, and innovative development opportunities
- Review market studies, development budgets, pro forma models, and investment assumptions
- Support investment decision-making from initial screening through execution
Investment Committee & Executive Reporting
- Prepare investment memoranda, executive presentations, approval materials, and portfolio reporting packages
- Present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and global stakeholders
- Support ongoing performance and risk reporting for management and investors
Cross-Border Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a key liaison between U.S. operations and Japanese headquarters
- Translate complex real estate, financial, and operational information into concise management-level reporting
- Facilitate communication among investment, accounting, finance, risk management, and development teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years (Senior Analyst) or 10+ years (Manager) of relevant experience
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Real Estate Asset Management
- Real Estate Investments
- Development
- Corporate Finance
- Investment Banking
- Consulting
- Real Estate Private Equity
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
- Experience reviewing investment materials, business plans, and financial performance
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Native level -Japanese and strong English communication skills required
- Experience with JV structures, financing, refinancing, dispositions, and portfolio monitoring is highly desirable
