Position Overview

We are seeking a Japanese-English Bilingual Quality Coordinator to join an automotive manufacturing company in Stanford, KY.

This position is responsible for supporting and coordinating quality activities to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.

The Quality Coordinator will work closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify quality issues, investigate root causes, implement corrective actions, and improve manufacturing processes.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced quality professional who would like to use both Japanese and English in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily quality activities, including inspections, testing, and process audits.
  • Investigate quality issues and identify root causes using tools such as 5 Why, FMEA, and Fishbone Analysis.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Work with Production and Engineering teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain quality documents, including control plans, inspection reports, procedures, and flow charts.
  • Support IATF 16949 compliance and quality system requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
  • Support new product launches, including APQP and PPAP activities.
  • Support and provide guidance to Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors.
  • Communicate with Japanese and English-speaking customers, management, and team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Business-level or native-level Japanese and English.
  • 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of metal stamping and die manufacturing.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • CMM programming experience is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with hands-on quality experience in an automotive manufacturing environment who is comfortable working with both Japanese and English-speaking teams.

Experience with IATF 16949, automotive quality systems, metal stamping, APQP, PPAP, and root cause analysis would be highly valuable.
