Global packaging machinery and automation solutions company in IL, is seeking a strategic and dynamic Chief Sales Executive (Head of Sales) to lead our U.S. sales organization during a critical growth phase.  This role will be instrumental in transforming our sales strategy from a relationship-based model to a proactive new business development engine.

This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth, building scalable sales infrastructure, and developing a high-performing team.

 

 

 

Chief Sales Executive (Head of Sales)

Location:  Elk Grove Village, IL (100% Onsite)

Job Type: Full-time

$280K to $320K plus fabulous benefits and relocation package.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the sales organization

Develop and execute sales strategies and operational plans aligned with aggressive growth targets

Lead the transition toward new client acquisition and market expansion, particularly within U.S.-based enterprises

 

Revenue & Market Expansion

Drive top-line growth through direct sales and channel strategies

Expand market share across key industries including food, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods

Target mid-to-large enterprises

 

Sales Organization Development

Lead, manage, and develop a team of 5-10 sales professionals

Build a structured, scalable sales organization, including processes, KPIs, and training systems

Upgrade sales management, coaching, and performance evaluation frameworks

 

Operational Excellence

Oversee sales forecasting, reporting, and KPI tracking

Analyze market trends and competitive positioning

Optimize budget allocation and resource planning

 

Client & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders

Support complex, high-value deal cycles

Ensure effective post-sale support and long-term client engagement

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Extensive experience in the packaging industry (require

Leading sales organizations

Driving revenue growth in B2B environments

Selling to large enterprise clients

Build and lead high-performing sales teams

Develop sales processes, systems, and organizational structure

Drive new business development

Strong network or existing client relationships in U.S. manufacturing sectors

Background in selling capital equipment / automation solutions
