Japanese leading automotive parts manufacturing company in OH seeks Accounting Manager to lead and oversee our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for financial closing processes, reporting, tax coordination, cash management, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a background in manufacturing finance.

Exempt position

7am -4 pm, M-F onsite full time

 $90K-100K plus bonus and fabulous health benefits package + visa sponsorship

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and trial balance

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and disbursements

Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts

Coordinate annual audits and serve as primary contact with external auditors

Manage tax-related matters in partnership with external advisors

Perform cost accounting and cost analysis to support operations

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

Deliver monthly reporting packages to the parent company

Prepare financial reports for executive leadership and board meetings

Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency

Manage and mentor accounting team members

Collaborate with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

Prior experience managing accounting or finance staff

Strong knowledge of full accounting cycle and financial reporting

Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP

Experience supporting audits and tax filings

Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred

Cost accounting experience (inventory, product costing, variance analysis) highly preferred

ERP system experience required (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred)

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills with both Japanese and English

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
