We are partnering with a global industry leader that has established a corporate venture capital (CVC) platform focused on investing in innovative consumer brands and breakthrough technologies shaping the future of the industry.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Finance & Accounting professional to join a highly visible investment team in San Francisco and play a critical role in both portfolio management and fund operations. You will work directly with senior leadership, gain exposure to venture investing, and help support a growing portfolio of high-potential startups.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Finance & Investment Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze the financial performance of portfolio companies
  • Prepare portfolio reporting and performance updates for senior leadership
  • Support investment evaluations through financial modeling and analysis
  • Assess business performance against investment plans and identify key risks and opportunities
  • Participate in valuation reviews and impairment assessments as needed

Finance & Accounting Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and financial reporting
  • Coordinate with external accounting, tax, audit, and professional service providers
  • Review monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls

Treasury & Corporate Administration

  • Manage banking activities, wire transfers, and cash management processes
  • Support expense management and approval workflows
  • Coordinate corporate tax filings and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and administer corporate contracts and insurance programs
  • Drive operational improvements and process enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, investment analysis, or related areas
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and corporate finance
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred

  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in venture capital, private equity, startup environments, investment management, or corporate venture capital
  • Experience within consumer products, food & beverage, or related industries
