Job Title: Operations Staff

Japanese logistics company is seeking an Operations Staff member to support import/export logistics operations. This role involves coordinating shipments, preparing shipping documentation, communicating with customers and vendors, and ensuring smooth transportation and inventory processes.

Logistics Operations

  • Arrange air, ocean, and trucking shipments
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including AES filings
  • Create HAWB and MAWB labels and apply them to cargo
  • Process invoices and provide shipping documents to customers
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, partners, airlines, customs brokers, and trucking companies
  • Arrange import shipments and monitor export/import deliveries
  • Inspect cargo, assist with packing, and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Troubleshoot shipment and logistics issues and escalate when necessary
  • Suggest process improvements to prevent recurring issues
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned

Customer & Administrative Support

  • Input and maintain information for profit reports
  • Handle E/L procedures according to company guidelines
  • Report balance amounts and inventory information to customers
  • File E/L documentation with customs in accordance with regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and airline requirements
  • Provide administrative support as needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Utilize company resources and tools effectively to maximize productivity
  • Participate in meetings and keep management informed of issues and updates
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support general office and administrative functions
  • Assist team members and provide coverage when needed
