Position: Procurement Coordinator – English/Japanese Bilingual preferred

Location: Kirkland, WA

Salary: $50-60K (DOE)

Hours: 9am – 5pm

Introductory Period: The first three (3) months of employment will be considered a probationary period, during which the employee's performance, attendance, and overall suitability for the position will be evaluated.

Travel: 20% in the office, 80% at the vendor sites (most of them are within driving distance. 2-3 times a month out of state travel)

JOB SUMMARY:  

The Procurement Coordinator will manage all assigned vendors in terms of PO acknowledgements, production control, delivery and claim settlements in order to maintain stable parts supply to assembly line in Japan. 

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Expedite vendors’ production for on-time shipments.  
  2. Expedite shortage parts, passed due date parts and urgent parts.  
  3. Resolve misunderstanding between buyers in Japan and vendors in USA.  
  4. Request vendors to fill in, obtain and review follow up lists of vendors.  
  5. Arrange urgent parts shipments as necessary.  
  6. Make sure the procurement status of material and parts those are used for fabrication of the Company purchased parts as necessary. 
  7. Make sure the status of the parts that are processed by the outside production of the vendors as necessary. 
  8. Relay claim notes from the Company to vendors and coordinate with vendors as necessary for resolution of discrepant items.  
  9. Relay purchase order change requests from the Company to vendors and coordinate with vendors as necessary for any disagreement.  
  10. Support to perform source inspection of vendors’ products.  
  11. Support buyers in Japan as for the procurement operation. 
  12. Collect and inform the information of vendors and aerospace industry in USA.  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Bachelors Degree.  
  2. Must 2+ Year working experience required. 
  3. Competent computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and the office use hardware.
