Direct Sales Account Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Direct Sales Account Supervisor to manage and grow a portfolio of restaurant accounts throughout New York and New Jersey. This field-based role focuses on developing strong customer relationships, supporting restaurant operations, and identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for restaurant partners while ensuring excellent customer service and account growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain an assigned portfolio of restaurant accounts across NY and NJ.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to restaurant customers to support ordering, product usage, and relationship development.
  • Identify and pursue new restaurant business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with chefs, restaurant owners, and purchasing teams.
  • Monitor ordering patterns and proactively follow up with customers to ensure consistent product supply.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including logistics, production, and customer service, to resolve order and delivery issues.
  • Provide product recommendations and usage guidance to customers as needed.
  • Track account activities, customer visits, and order updates using Excel.
  • Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Passion for food and customer service.
  • Comfortable working in a field-based, customer-facing sales environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts independently.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout New York and New Jersey on a daily basis.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred

  • Interest in Japanese cuisine or Asian food culture.
  • Experience in restaurants, food distribution, food manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Japanese language skills (spoken preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with Excel and basic data tracking/reporting.
