IT Infrastructure Engineer -Cloud & Microsoft 365

A Japanese IT company seeks a Project Leader for the Infrastructure Department.

Location : New York, NY Hybrid

Salary $70K-$100K (DOE)

Summary of duties:

This position is responsible for hands-on implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure systems, while supporting project execution under the direction of the Project Manager.

– Support project execution by tracking tasks, reporting status, and coordinating with the Project Manager.

– Implement, configure, and maintain endpoint management solutions (Intune, Tanium, SCCM) and identity platforms (Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Hello).

– Operate and maintain Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune) and security tools (MS Defender, etc.).

– Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, EC2, S3, and related services).

– Identify operational inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline infrastructure operations.

– Support pre-sales activities including proposal preparation, effort estimation, and client presentations to contribute to revenue growth.

– Participate in the launch and stabilization of Managed Service offerings, including defining operational procedures and SLAs.

– Other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

– 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure environments (endpoint management, cloud, identity, or Microsoft ecosystem).

– Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

– Endpoint Management: Intune, Tanium, SCCM, Windows FU

– Identity & Access: Entra ID, Entra ID Connect, Windows Hello

– M365 Services: SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Intune

– Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, CloudWatch) or Azure (Monitor, VMs, Networking)

– Security: MS Defender, access privilege management

– Experience improving operational efficiency through process standardization, automation, or tooling.

– Basic project coordination experience (schedule management, vendor communication, status

– Fluency in English

– Proficiency in Japanese preferred (Japanese is not required, but it is an advantage given the need to interact with Japanese customers.)

– Ability to travel to customer sites or data centers as needed

Preferred Certification: AWS, Azure, MS365, Security, PMP Certification
