This position supports the design and development of next-generation brake technologies through advanced development and R&D activities. The role focuses on mechanical design, simulation, prototyping, and evaluation of brake systems and components, while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive innovation and product performance.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Basic understanding of mechanical design and engineering principles
Interest in CAD, simulation (CAE), and product development processes
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Ability to manage tasks and meet project timelines
Willingness to learn new tools and engineering methods
Ability to work in both office and light industrial environments
Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to work additional hours to meet deadlines when required
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Responsibilities
Support R&D and advanced development of brake systems and components
Assist with project management to ensure milestones and timelines are met
Create 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD tools
Support simulation and analysis using CAE and model-based design methods
Assist in prototyping activities including procurement and in-house builds
Conduct evaluations, analyze data, and report results to stakeholders
Support customer presentations, meetings, and test trips as needed
Research industry trends and conduct benchmarking studies
Participate in technical conferences and knowledge-sharing activities
Support manufacturing plants and other engineering teams as needed
Contribute to safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners
