This position is responsible for the development and improvement of brake pad formulations and brake system components. The role involves working across the full product development lifecycle, including concept design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production transfer. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams, customers, and global partners to deliver high-performance braking solutions that meet quality and performance standards.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field)
Experience or academic exposure to product development, testing, or materials engineering
Ability to analyze data and summarize technical findings
Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Willingness to work in both office and manufacturing or laboratory environments
Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs as needed
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Ability to work additional hours when necessary to meet project timelines
Responsibilities
Develop and validate new brake pad formulations and design technologies
Define product requirements and develop appropriate test methods
Plan and execute component, system, and vehicle-level testing
Analyze test data and prepare technical reports and presentations
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
Support prototype development, including tooling design and specification creation
Participate in design change processes and coordinate engineering updates
Attend cross-functional meetings to ensure project milestones are achieved
Conduct research on industry trends and benchmark competitor products
Support manufacturing and other departments with technical expertise
Contribute to safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Communicate project progress and technical findings to stakeholders
