Sales Marketing Account Representative

Japanese packaging machinery and materials manufacturer is seeking a sales professional to support business growth. This role offers a balance of existing account management and new client development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts and work toward sales targets
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Conduct product demonstrations (machine demo room)
• Promote and expand film sales (key company focus)
• Prepare quotations for film, machines, parts, and specifications
• Coordinate project schedules with customers
• Visit customers and support ongoing projects
• Monitor orders, pricing, shipments, and transactions
• Track AR and support collections when needed
• Analyze market trends and identify opportunities
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide solutions
• Submit customer visit reports (Kintone)
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
• Support additional tasks as needed

Business Focus

• Balanced responsibility between existing accounts and new business development (approx. 50/50)
• Main customer base includes food manufacturers, co-manufacturers, and small to mid-sized companies

Core Competencies

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to travel frequently (up to 50%) across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Japan
• Typical travel: around twice per month (3–4 days per trip)
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); Japanese is a plus but not required
• Solid project management and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working independently under pressure
• Team player in a multicultural environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Fluent English required

Compensation

• Base salary: $55K–$60K + commission
• Commission structure includes:
  • Quarterly incentives based on film product sales
  • Additional incentives per machine sale

Work Environment

• Office-based with standard equipment
• May require standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Frequent business travel required
• Occasional work outside normal business hours
