Position Summary
The Sales & Marketing Associate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and expand existing customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, and achieve sales targets. This role involves working closely with sales, customer service, and accounting teams, while also gaining technical knowledge of products to provide added value to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow existing accounts while generating new business opportunities
- Utilize digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and online campaigns to support sales efforts and expand market reach
- Identify new opportunities through customer engagement and market insights
- Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions
- Propose alternative materials based on cost, availability, or specifications
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations with proper internal documentation
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues
- Provide product information, catalogs, and samples upon request
- Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate customer records
- Educate customers on product features, applications, and material grades
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address technical or processing issues
- Provide guidance on material properties and recommend appropriate grades
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field preferred
- Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus
- Strong communication skills with a technical sales mindset
- Ability to quickly learn customer needs and industry requirements
- Interest in industry trends and emerging technologies
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Familiarity with digital tools and data-driven sales approaches
- Experience with hybrid sales models (e-commerce and traditional sales) preferred
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
