Overview
A Japanese company is seeking a senior management professional to join our U.S. operations as a Vice President, Head of Corporate Administration, working closely with the CEO as a key executive partner.
This role will oversee all administrative and corporate management functions across North America (including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico), ensuring strong governance, operational efficiency, and risk management in a rapidly evolving business and regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, supporting overall business management and decision-making
- Lead and oversee corporate management functions for the U.S. sales subsidiary
- Develop and execute business strategies, including financial planning and performance management
- Manage administrative functions including:
- Finance & Accounting
- Tax
- Human Resources
- General Affairs
- Legal & Compliance
- External Relations
- Audit
- IT
- Logistics & Service Operations
- Ensure effective governance and risk management across North American operations
- Oversee and manage both expatriate and locally hired staff
- Drive organizational alignment between headquarters and local teams
Qualifications (Required)
- Bilingual in Japanese and English (business level proficiency required)
- Strong background in management accounting, with broad experience overseeing corporate/admin functions
- Proven leadership and people management skills in a cross-cultural environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across:
- Local employees
- Headquarters teams
- External stakeholders
- Strong risk management capabilities related to overseas business operations
- Ability to operate at an executive level in a dynamic international business environment
Preferred:
- Prior expatriate/overseas assignment experience in the U.S.
- Knowledge of legal affairs and/or transfer pricing
- Experience managing operations at overseas subsidiaries
