Job Title: Material Control Analyst I

Location: On-site

Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Language: Japanese and English (both business level and above in writing, reading, speaking and listening)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Control Analyst to manage the flow of materials, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support production operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient supply chain processes and accurate inventory control within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow of materials from suppliers and offsite locations
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels based on production and shipping needs
  • Track and record incoming shipments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coordinate material ordering and delivery to support daily production schedules
  • Control on-hand and incoming inventory volumes, including build-outs and obsolescence
  • Support transportation coordination to optimize inventory turnover
  • Order materials for new product launches based on production plans
  • Escalate supply or quality issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with industry quality standards
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with additional ERP systems (e.g., Plex)

Education:

  • Associate degree in Business or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred

Work Environment:

This role operates in a manufacturing environment and may require extended periods of standing, handling materials, and occasional lifting. Exposure to machinery and production equipment is expected.
