Relationship Manager – Vice President (Bilingual Japanese/English Required)

Job Summary:

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Relationship Manager – Vice President to join its Japanese & Asian Corporate Banking team.

This position focuses on building and maintaining relationships with Japanese corporate clients in the Technology and Semiconductor sectors located in the Bay Area and surrounding regions. The role involves gathering market intelligence, supporting business development initiatives, and coordinating with internal product partners to deliver financial solutions to clients.

The position reports to the Group Head and works closely with internal teams across corporate banking and product divisions.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000 – $225,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market conditions. The position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with Japanese corporate clients, particularly in the technology and semiconductor sectors
• Gather information related to clients’ financial needs, business strategies, and industry developments
• Monitor and report on trends and activities within the relevant industries
• Support preparation of client presentations, proposals, and other materials
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and deliver appropriate banking products and solutions
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and identify opportunities for business development
• Prepare reports and updates for management as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate banking or investment banking
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Business-level Japanese and English required

Work Environment:

This role follows a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work both remotely and from the office. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office location.
